Rincon Creek Weed Pulls & Planting! 


Greetings! 

 

Hello Rincon Institute supporters! Come join the Rincon Institute to restore
native vegetation along Rincon Creek. It is a perfect time of the year to
plant, just before the winter rains while the temperatures are cool. We will
be pulling non-native plants, planting native ones, sowing seeds, and
experimenting with Riparian pole planting from the existing, surrounding
vegetation.

Where: These efforts will occur in the X-9 Ranch, just West of the Saguaro
National Park boundary. We will meet at Academy Village (13701 E Old Spanish
Trail).

The Rincon Institute is a non-profit land conservation organization
dedicated to protecting the natural resources of Saguaro National Park East
and its surrounding lands. The staff, Board and volunteers work closely with
park officials, volunteers, landowners, businesses, and residents of the
Rincon, Vail and Tanque Verde valleys to ensure that the rural character and
