[Southern_AZ_MWS] New Project WET workshop "Arizona Conserve Water" (Phoenix Aug. 18, 25)

Water Conservation Info Sharing Group!

I am excited to announce the introduction of Arizona Project WET's 
newest curriculum "Arizona Conserve Water" to be presented in a 
workshop at the Phoenix Zoo on August 18 & 25, 2007.

The Arizona Conserve Water Educators Guide is divided into four
sections:

Part I presents a brief overview of Arizona geography, water history, water
management and conservation.

Part II is a collection of 15 lesson plans that present creative hands-on
activities to teach about a variety of aspects of water conservation  Each
activity includes a detailed background section that compliments
information presented 
in Part I.

Part III is a collection of ten case studies: specific Arizona water
conservation stories written as problem-solving activities for students.

Part IV includes a cross-reference chart that identifies subject areas to
which each activity applies, a glossary, a bibliography, and an index.

Of course, like all Project WET curriculum, the activities in Arizona 
Conserve Water Educators Guide are correlated to the Arizona Academic 
Standards!

teachers in your community trained on this newly developed tool for 
Arizona classrooms.
