>Our meeting began at 6:00 pm with a potluck and socializing.
>Robert Emanuel called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
>Doug Green made comments about his recent visit to Pinal Peak near Globe,
>AZ. At an altitude of approximately 5500 feet he observed giant sequoia,

>data about rainfall in urban and rural settings to be used in drought
>monitoring programs at county, state, and national levels. Ultimately other
>types of monitoring may be added to the program, resulting in large scale
>and long-term data for climate studies. Members were asked to offer
>suggestions regarding groups that may wish to participate in this volunteer
